Refreshing a GPS Standard

The GPSMAP 76CSx is a refreshing upgrade of the GPSMAP 76CS, one of our most popular models for outdoor and marine use. This unit features a removable microSD card for detailed mapping memory and a waterproof, rugged housing. The microSD card slot is located inside the waterproof battery compartment. Users can load map data and transfer routes and waypoints through the unit’s fast USB connection.
In addition, this unit features a new, highly sensitive GPS receiver that acquires satellites faster and lets users track their location in challenging conditions, such as heavy foliage or deep canyons. The GPSMAP 76CSx also incorporates a barometric altimeter for extremely accurate elevation data and an electronic compass that displays an accurate heading while standing still.

Considered the mainstay among serious outdoor enthusiasts, the GPSMAP 76CSx and GPSMAP 76Cx offer a large color TFT display and turn-by-turn routing capability. These units also float when dropped in the water. Each unit comes with a blank 128 MB microSD card. Owners of these new x-series handhelds can also purchase new microSD cards that are pre-loaded with MapSource® Topo and inland lake maps, BlueChart® marine cartography, and City Navigator™ street maps.

Garmin GPS 76 S

The GPS 76 is designed to provide precise GPS positioning using correction data obtained from the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS). This unit features a built-in quad helix antenna for superior reception and can provide position accuracy to less than three meters when receiving WAAS corrections. A remote GA27C antenna can be used with the GPS 76.
A large display measuring 1.6"W x 2.2"H gives users a clear view of information. A large numbers option allows for easy viewing at a distance, and the backlit display and keypad simpifies use in low light situtations. The waterproof GPS 76 will keep working well even if it has been submerged in water and will actually float if accidentally dropped in the water.
The GPS 76 provides 1 megabyte of internal user memory to be used for storing downloaded points of interest data. This 1 megabyte of storage area is preloaded from the factory with the Americas Marine Point Database and can be used to downloading points of interest detail from GARMIN’s MapSource Points of Interest CD-ROM.
• MapSource data and the Points of Interest database cannot be loaded at the same time.

The portable GPSMAP 96C, along with the GPSMAP 96, integrate full-featured GPS navigation with a Jeppesen database and comprehensive towers-and-obstacles database — giving pilots the freedom to go anywhere.
The pilot-friendly GPSMAP 96C has a crisp colour display, making map detail easy to read. With 119 megabytes of memory and a mini-USB port, users can quickly download and store map data from a variety of optional MapSource CD-ROMs. Its simple one-thumb keypad control literally puts the world of GPS capability in the palm of your hand.
